ACCOUNTING QUOTE PLEASE?
Can anyone compete with the following ? :
• Basic Annual Fees of $71,760
• Very poor service – Two years to complete three sets of basic Annual Accounts.
• Pay rent of $34.34 psm for carpeted, air-conditioned modern Office space in Auckland, including under-cover and open car-parks. Compared to the neighbour who pays $184psm for very similar quality office space.
• Plus “steal” a period of SEVEN years as a “Rent Free” period refusing to pay any rent, part way through a lease.
Let me explain a little more:
• $5,694pa for simple Trust Accounts of my diseased Father’s Trust.
• $40,000 to $60,000pa for the Annual Accounts and a little Management of a three storey building on the Auckland’s fringe, 2/3 vacant and a single tenant.
• $26,500pa for Accounts and basic Management of a two storey Office block at Kolmar Rd Papatoetoe.
Costs for these THREE concerns run between $60,000 and $70,000 per annum.
We have been “ripped off” by the Quinn Group for many years and unable to correct the past, present or future. The NZ Institute of Accountants, recognise that “there appears to be breaches of the Companies Act and general body of trustee law,” but are unable to force any resolution and have advised that our best option for remedy is through the District Courts.
And so my problems compound, with costs many times the market rate for accounting and uncooperative attitude, with no answers to any of my concerns.
• The charges favour one shareholder only (Quinn) and disadvantage all shareholders and beneficiaries.
• Quinn has refused to reply to any of my concerns (most of which I have documented) for the last 15 years.
• The last set of Accounts for these three concerns I have are TWO years old (YE 2008) and as a Trustee, Beneficiary, Director and Shareholder such time lapse is unacceptable.
• Every Professional opinion I have received has categorically stated that I have a responsibility and duty to solve my concerns.
I have tried several other means to resolve unsuccessfully, so decided to submit my Blog to see if anyone has any advice for me, to solve this problem before it becomes part of my legacy.
I plan on adding evidence to my Blog on a frequent basis in an effort to keep your interest in my story and find new means to solve my problems.
